YEC Member Companies Announce New Certifications

This week, YEC is excited to announce the recent accomplishments of two of our member companies. After each receiving valuable certifications, they are quickly gaining ground in their industries.

1. Coding Bootcamp RefactorU to Accelerate Veterans' Careers with G.I. Bill

Led by YEC member Sean Daken, RefactorU, a 10-week coding bootcamp, was certified by the Colorado State Approving Agency for Veterans Education and Training, and will offer benefits to better serve U.S. military personnel.

In RefactorU's blog, Founder and CEO Sean Daken stated, “We are thrilled that it’s now easier than ever for veterans and military families to accelerate their careers and transform their lives with RefactorU and the G.I. Bill."

2. Matos Builders Participates in the 8(a) Business Development Program 

YEC member company Matos Builders has been certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration to participate in the 8(a) Business Development Program.

Based in Baltimore and co-led by YEC member Richard Skayhan, Matos Builders is a veteran and minority owned commercial construction firm. As a participant in the 8(a) Business Development Program, Matos Builders will gain a foothold in government contracting and go on to thrive in the competitive world of business.
