The Ask an Entrepreneur series features YEC members' experiences in entrepreneurship in a Q&A format.

Question: How can I manage the workload I face as an entrepreneur?

I am overwhelmed by the amount of work I face as I try to get my business off the ground. Any tips?

Meet our Entrepreneur: Ibrahim Alkurd, Founder & CEO, New Mine

Ibrahim Alkurd founded New Mine while in medical school. He bootstrapped the company and grew it to become a leading provider of a turn-key solution for blockchain mining deployments. The success of his company caused him to leave university in order to fully focus on his new found passion, entrepreneurship.

Answer: Manage your time and prioritize.

Sometimes the workload for an entrepreneur can be overwhelming, especially if your company is going through a transitional phase. Managing your time effectively is super important for coping with high work loads. Focus on the important tasks and delegate the other tasks to make everything more manageable. Remember to leave time to switch off so that you can recharge. (For example, by placing your phone away from you or switching off notifications for work apps.)
