YEC D.C. Founders Dinner Recap

[sliderpro id="24"]

YEC Members gathered in Washington D.C. for the a YEC Founders Dinner on Tuesday, June 30th. Hosted in The Sequoia, the floor-to-ceiling windows gave a perfect view of the Virginia skyline and glistening Potomac River. The evening was the first in-person event for D.C. members, where each member had the opportunity to bring business challenges to the table, get advice from fellow entrepreneurs and share his/her own experience.

"It was great to meet and share stories, advice and laughter with fellow entrepreneurs in my region. YEC went out of their way to encourage each of us to open up and ask each other for advice," said David Simnick, CEO of Soapbox Soaps.

Other guests that benefited from the wealth of expertise shared that night were: Carrie Rich, CEO of The Global Good FundMichael Spinosa, CEO of Unleashed Technologies; Robert Kinsler, CEO of United Social Sports; and Manpreet Singh, CEO of TalkLocal, to name a few.

"It's invigorating to be surrounded by people who see possibility and won't stop until they make it happen," said Carrie Rich. "Thanks to YEC for making that experience happen -- over a delicious meal, no less."

Conversation flew over the course of dinner. The three-course meal began with a summery goat cheese salad dressed in a vibrant beet vinaigrette, and choice of entree included either a tender NY strip with truffle sauce or pan-seared salmon with broccolini. For dessert: a trio of decadent chocolate mousse.

A special thanks to Pretty Instant for the evenings' photography. The full album can be viewed here.
