The goal of Kuli Kuli is to "create a world where malnutrition only exists in history textbooks." It uses the nutritious leaves of the moringa tree for tasty energy drinks and bars, teas and food supplements. Curtis sources moringa leaves from women-owned cooperatives in Ghana, and in 2015, Kuli Kuli announced an initiative with Whole Foods Market, the Clinton Foundation’s Haiti Program, and the Smallholder Farmers Alliance to plant hundreds of moringa trees in Haiti, giving Haitian farm owners access to a growing market.
Curtis says she believes in growing a company that can provide nutritious foods, empower women and earn a profit.
