Although Jen Gordon has worked with YEC for a while on creative design projects and more, we're thrilled to announce that she joined the team full-time late last year as Chief Creative Officer.
In this role, she takes on all design for YEC Quarterly -- our print magazine just for members -- as well as other creative and design efforts.
An Atlanta, Georgia native, Jen started her path to design work in high school. She was awarded a scholarship to study Graphic Arts at Georgia Southern Univerity and, several years later, received her Associates in Web Design from the Art Institute of Atlanta.
After college, Jen worked for a small graphic arts distribution company before going to work for Moore Wallace Inc. (now RR Donnelley), a large printing company. Then after earning her Associates in Web design, she started work for Yahoo! supporting their Atlanta sales team with pitch designs.
Jen has had an extensive contracting and freelance career, contracting with Yahoo! for eight years and working with WebMD and other clients during that time. Now, she joins YEC full-time in her new role.
From Jen: "I'm so excited -- especially about the work I've done recently with YEC, designing for partnerships, pitches, owning the brand and helping to bring all assets under a cohesive design umbrella. I'm excited to accomplish a lot of things, but the first priority is to refine the look and feel of [our new member] handbook, magazine and to make design assets scalable."
Outside of work, Jen helps her daughters with craft projects and enjoys entertaining friends.
