Last week, YEC members in Chicago and invited guests in town for Techweek Chicago met up at I/O Godfrey, an urban roofscape at the Godfrey Hotel, for an evening of outdoor cocktails and conversation. Sponsored by WeWork Chicago and Softlayer, the private event was hosted in partnership with Techweek, designed to bring together top CEOs and founders from around the country.
Bringing together Chicago's most exciting young entrepreneurs as well as the movers and shakers of the Chicago tech scene -- including Techweek CEO Katy Lynch -- the event featured an open bar, and beer was provided by YEC member Murad Sabzali's Hopothesis. Although rain seemed imminent, the event ultimately ended outside, with guests able to enjoy stunning views of the city.
YEC members in attendance included Fritz Heffinger, President at Out Cold Marketing; Lee Salisbury, Founder at UnitOneNine; Faraz Khan, COO at Go Direct Lead Generation; David Casem, CEO at Telnyx LLC; Charles Wu, Chief Innovation Officer at Convergence Technologies Inc.; and many more.
YEC members Shradha Agarwal, David Gardner and Blake Miller were featured speakers for Techweek Chicago, and YEC member George Bousis's company Raise.com was a Platinum sponsor of the event. The week-long tech event included debates, panel discussions, entrepreneur interviews, fireside chats and keynote addresses from top top-tier CEOs and founders.
A special thanks to WeWork Chicago -- a growing co-working space that provides small businesses, startups and freelancers with the workspace, community and services to make a life, not just a living -- and Softlayer -- a provider of global cloud infrastructure as a service that operates a Catalyst Startup program geared towards early-stage tech companies -- for their sponsorship of the event. As well, Victory Marketing provided event staffing and Pretty Instant provided photography.
