Last week, a few YEC members gathered in a cozy, private space at Tavern Road in Boston. Brought together by YEC, members enjoyed great food, great conversation and great company.
A standalone event -- with beer generously provided by YEC member Jeremy Goldberg of Cape Ann Brewing Co. -- members were treated to Chef Louis DiBiccari giving an instructional rub demonstration for a whole animal dinner while he shared his entrepreneurial story. As well, Boston's best mixologist, Tenzin Samdo, gave two cocktail demonstrations while sharing the inspiration for his creative drinks.
So of course the evening included specialty cocktails like "Smuggler Bordeoux," made up of chocolate cigar smoked rye, cynar and campari; and Phi Phi Islands, which contained plantation 3 stars white rum, passionfruit, lime, cardamom and saffron. Beer included Fisherman's IPA and Fisherman's Pumpkin Stout from Cape Ann Brewing to celebrate the start of Fall.
Dinner was served in Tavern Road's cozy yet trendy, urban street-inspired "Street Food" takeout back room. Food included Sumac hummus and grilled beans, an organic suckling pig, and good ol' chocolate chip cookies for dessert.
Guests in attendance included Brian Chiou of Enigma Systems LLC, Jeremy Goldberg of Cape Ann Brewing Co., Alex Fedorov of Fresh Tilled Soil, LLC, Rebecca Devaney of Hunter Creative Labs, Chris Swenor of East Coast Product, Fehzan Ali of Adscend Media LLC, Peter Kozodoy of GEM Advertising, Glenn Grant of G2 Technology Group Inc., Andrew Krebs-Smith of Social Fulcrum, Eric Fleming of Compass Furnished Apartment, Dan Pickett of Launch Academy, Corey Hoffstein of Newfound Research, and Enrico Palmerino of botkeeper.
