Last week, YEC members in town for Collision Conference as well as those local to Las Vegas gathered for an excellent night of networking and wine. Co-hosted by YEC members Lisa Song and Rick Muenyong, who graciously opened up his spacious home for the evening, the event was sponsored by Stags' Leap Winery.
YEC members in attendance included John Rampton, Founder at Due; Andrea Lake, Founder at StickerJunkie.com; Matt McCoy, co-founder at Scanalytics Inc; Blake Miller, Partner at Think Big Partners; Andy Talbert, co-founder at Snow & Co.; Beck Bamberger, Founder at BAM Communications; Curt and Mason Revelette, Owner and CEO at Jonathan's Grille respectively; Murray Newlands, Founder at Influence People; and many others.
Members and selected guests mingled in Muenyong's 15,000 square foot home in Henderson, NV -- a residence that featured an infinity pool, bowling alley, interactive photo booth, game room and more with incredible views of the Vegas strip.
Guests also enjoyed discovering great wines from Stags' while custom food pairings were prepped onsite by Chef Kas. For example, pairings included a 2011 Stags' Leap Napa Valley The Leap Cabernet Sauvignon with a sweet and savory braised short rib wonton cup. The specialized pairings were accompanied by a full bar as well as boozy cupcakes from Sin City Cupcakes.
An important event for entrepreneurs around the U.S., a number of YEC members presented at Collision Conference during the week. This included Mike McGee speaking about the importance of tech education; Oisin Hanrahan giving a talk on how to scale; Nanxi Liu on making information smart on public computing; Kristopher Jones on a.m. to p.m., investing to win; Murray Newlands on serial entrepreneurship; and John Rampton on whether or not there's a finish line.
