YEC member company 10up recently celebrated its fifth year in business. Founded by YEC member Jake Goldman, 10up makes web publishing and content management simple and fun using open platforms like WordPress.
Starting with just one employee in 2011, 10up has matured at a fast pace, growing the team by 30 percent in 2015 and generating more revenue in the first month of 2016 than during its first two years combined. Since 10up's last birthday, the team has launched several high-profile projects for clients including Microsoft, reddit and AMC Networks.
From an internal perspective, 10up saw its largest expansion of employee benefits, adding company 401(k) matching and paid parental leave. The company also introduced an employee professional development/continuing education benefit and absorbed the costs of healthcare increases.
"But here at 10up, we value more than revenue and growth statistics," said Goldman. "It’s about nurturing the culture within, providing our team the resources to achieve peak performance—a sense of community, a pride of ownership, and material benefits for a team that is building a future together, not merely cashing in a paycheck."
