YEC Member Company Do Raises $2M Seed Round

YEC member company Do recently raised a $2M seed round. Do, which provides software that helps users run productive meetings, was founded by YEC member & Do CEO Jason Shah.

Notable investors of this round include NEA, Dave Morin (co-founder of Path), Nas (Queensbridge Venture Partners), Kevin Colleran (one of Facebook’s first 10 employees), Mark Pincus (co-founder of Zynga), Aayush Phumbhra (co-founder of Chegg) and Jim Patterson (founder of Cotap and previous CPO at Yammer), among other angels.

Do’s product is integrated with Google Calendar and Microsoft Office 365, as well as other partners, and features include a calendar where users can add a custom agenda and meeting notes; a timer, making sure meetings don’t go over; a mobile-social component that allows team members to notify those not in the meeting — via a push notification to their mobile — of when they are mentioned in a meeting; and a user-friendly function to mark post-meeting follow-up for each item on the meeting agenda. Agendas can also be shared with the team, so everyone can get a detailed view of points that were discussed in the meeting, as well as outcomes.

In the official press release announcing the seed round, Jon Sakoda, general partner at NEA, said, “As the workforce becomes more mobile and on-demand tools are rising in popularity, Do is giving thousands of companies the necessary collaboration tools that will help companies be more innovative and productive.”
