YEC member company HOOCH recently closed a $950K investment round, bringing its total funding to date past the $2M mark. Co-founded by YEC member Jared Christopherson, HOOCH is a private cocktail society app.
The round was led by Blue Scorpion Investments, a New York City-based venture capital firm whose Advisors and Venture Partners range from economist Nouriel Roubini, entrepreneur Russell Simmons, vice chair of WeWork Michael Gross, celebrity chef Rocco Dispirito, Academy-nominated film producer Lawrence Bender and other high-profile individuals.
Founded in 2015 with a mission of disrupting the landscape of cocktail consumption in LA and New York, HOOCH members pay just $9.99/month (less than the price of one cocktail) or $99/per year. The company plans further its rapid growth and dominance both in the U.S. and internationally.
HOOCH Members are given one round of cocktails at participating venues. Each venue offers HOOCH members a specially curated drinks menu where they can select one cocktail to enjoy with friends. The company has been featured in notable publications including TechCrunch, CNBC, LA Times and Time Out.
