In an effort to help aspiring entrepreneurs afford rising tuition costs, YEC member company Kitchen Cabinet Kings has created the Kitchen Cabinet Kings Entrepreneur Scholarship.
Co-led by YEC members and brothers Anthony and Andrew Saladino, the company will award a $5,000 scholarship to one graduate or undergraduate student for the upcoming Fall semester.
Applicants must submit a 1,500-word essay explaining what their startup idea would be if they could disrupt any online industry with a budget of $25,000. Between crafting a mission statement to defining a marketing strategy, applicants must create an entire business plan.
When speaking of the scholarship, Anthony said: “The truth is that college is not really affordable for the average American family, forcing students to take on student loan debt which now exceeds American credit card debt. Growing up in a single-parent household, my brother and I understand the financial hardships experienced by working class families and we are very excited to help an aspiring entrepreneur pay for their education.”
The entry deadline is Sept. 15, and a winner will be announced on Sept. 22.
