MyHealthTeams, a company that creates social networks for those living with chronic health conditions co-founded by COO Mary Ray, recently closed a $5 Million-plus Series B funding round. The round was led by CVS Health, a Fortune 10 company, and included support from previous investors such as Adams Street Partners, the Westly Group, HealthTechCapital and Sand Hill Angels.
“With this financing, we are well-positioned to rapidly expand beyond our initial 13 social networks and reach a much greater audience of people facing each of those conditions,” said Eric Peacock, CEO of MyHealthTeams in this press release.
The company has now raised around $10.14 Million in total financing, and is responsible for 13 of the fastest-growing social networks that focus on building community around chronic health conditions. The San Francisco-based startup has over 300,000 members living in eight countries worldwide.
Their next plans are to launch new networks for the hemophilia and Alzheimer's communities.
