YEC Member Company Pixlee Raises a $4 Million Funding Round

YEC member company Pixlee, co-founded by CEO and YEC member Kyle Wong, raised $4 Million in funding last month. Having raised a total of $5.7 Million to date, Pixlee plans to use the new capital to grow their sales and product development teams, further integrating customer-created content into e-commerce, web and mobile platforms.

Notable investors in this funding round include David Jones, founder of You & Mr. Jones (the world's first brandtech company); Brian Weiner, Chairman of ad agency 360i; and GS Shop, a division of GS Group and Korea's largest shopping conglomerate.

The company, founded in San Francisco in 2012, helps brands market and sell by collecting, curating and sharing real customer photos and videos. Pixlee manages the rights to the content, and integrates it into shopping experiences across multiple channels.

In this release, Wong says, “The best way to build a brand today is to use the voice of your own customer. Pixlee’s approach puts the customer at the center of brand marketing and has proven to increase sales as well as engagement and loyalty. Our new investors will help us further fortify our leadership position and grow our business.”
