YEC member company Rinse is expanding to Los Angeles after raising $3.5 million from leading investors. Based in San Francisco, it provides high-quality clothing care with flexible pick-up and delivery times to its busy customers. In addition to washing and folding and dry cleaning, services include leather care, repairs and even donations.
Rinse was launched in 2013 and has since developed a reputation for a commitment to customers. Part of this entails a strict five-step vetting process for cleaning partners. Ajay Prakash, CEO of Rinse and YEC member, says “We invest in finding and training the most qualified vendors and valets, so we can provide the best customer experience possible.”
The human connection weaved into its customer service has largely contributed to the company's success. It walks customers through every step of the process and emails photos of items that were picked up. It also offers a convenient scheduling service through SMS, allowing customers to let the Rinse team know if they're running late at work and need to reschedule. (Texts are sent by actual Rinse employees.)
As a result of Rinse's recent expansion, laundry can now be hassle-free to residents of Palms, Culver City, Mar Vista, Marina del Rey, Culver West, Venice, Santa Monica, Baldwin Hills, Pico-Roberts/Beverlywood, Brentwood, Beverly Hills, Miracle Mile, Mid-Wilshire, West Hollywood and more. The service is available at Rinse.com and on iOS and Android.
Rinse is also conscientious of giving back to the community at large. To date, Rinse has already saved San Francisco well over one million gallons of water thanks to its laundromat partners’ use of environmentally forward processes. As the company expands to Los Angeles, Rinse will be proactive with California's water conservation issues.
