Earlier this month, YEC Member Company SimpleRelevance was acquired by digital marketing agency Rise Interactive. SimpleRelevance is a personalization platform that uses machine learning and predictive analytics to recommend the best marketing strategies for marketers.
YECer Erik Severinghaus, Founder and CEO of SimpleRelevance, says on PR Newswire: "Rise [Interactive] is one of the fastest growing and most innovative digital marketing agencies in Chicago, and SimpleRelevance is a technologically advanced startup driving digital marketing; the collaboration just made sense. Combining the two will produce a powerhouse for digital marketing."
The two companies have previously worked together for more than a year. Jon Morris, CEO of Rise Interactive, met Severinghaus at Techstars, a mentorship startup for entrepreneurs. According to the breaking story from Crain's, what attracted Rise Interactive's attention to SimpleRelevance was its ability to "move beyond e-mail, using data to choose particular ads to show to different users based on each individual's profile." These ads could be shown email, search, display or social media.
Rise Interactive uses data insights to help marketing leaders make informed decisions. It looks across all marketing channels and adjusts budgets according to performance and the opportunity to maximize on returns. A few of Rise Interactive's notable clients include Sports Authority, Ulta Beauty and PANDORA.
From Morris on PR Newswire: "It's a natural fit for us to join forces, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome SimpleRevelance to our team."
