YEC member company Unacast recently raised $5M in a Series A financing round. Led by YEC member, Unacast's CRO Chris Cunningham, Unacast is the No. 1 platform connecting beacons and other proximity sensors to online marketing platforms.
The round was led by Open Ocean Capital and Investinor, bringing the company’s total funding to $6.6 million.
Founded in 2014, Unacast launched in 2015 and maintains four offices, including London, New York, San Francisco and its headquarters in Oslo.
The company plans to double its headcount to nearly 30 people, adding data scientists in Oslo, where the engineering team is based, and account managers in New York, according to company CEO and co-founder Thomas Walle.
