YEC member Patrick Flynn recently co-founded dipity, a dating app that isn't all about swiping. The app gives users who match and start chatting a choice of 10 potential places to meet. If both parties choose the same location, they can move forward with the date. If they don't, it places them both back into the dating pool.
Flynn started dipity in March 2016 with business partner Dominic Amenta to add elements of fate and location-based meeting/dates to the dating app world. It connects to your Facebook profile in a secure and private manner.
"The dating app market was getting saturated, but we weren't seeing much innovation," Flynn told VentureFizz. "Not only is dipity the first app that integrates location-based places to meet for your date, but it also adds in an element of fate. If you and your match select the same place, it creates an immediate conversation starter and sense of common ground to start from."
dipity is free and available for download in the app store. It will be available for Android on the Google Play Store this summer. You can read more about it here.
