Shane Snow Launches Book, Dream Teams
Shane Snow, New York City-based technology journalist and founder of Contently, recently launched his new book Dream Teams: Working Together Without Falling Apart with a special afterward by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and his author friend Adam Grant. Sama Jashnani gives TedX Talk
Sama Jashnani, CEO of mobile app DownToDash, recently gave a TedX talk on "Lessons Every Founder Can Learn From On Their Journey to Success." You can view the full video here. DownToDash connects people based on what they are down to do, whether it's working out, playing sports, viewing movies or traveling.
Killer Infographics Named One of Inc.'s Best Workplaces
YEC member Amy Balliett of Killer Infographics announced that the company was included on the Inc. 5000 list for the second year in a row and was named one of Inc.'s Best Workplaces in 2017. Balliett spoke at SXSW on "The New Age of Story: Marketing for a Visual World" for the second year in a row. Her talk, which you can check out here, covered everything from VR/AR to bite-sized video storytelling.
Globe Runner Awarded Bronze and Silver Addy Awards
Eric McGehearty, CEO of Globe Runner, a top-performing, full-service digital marketing, recently announced that his agency was awarded Bronze and Silver Addy Awards at Dallas's 2018 American Advertising Awards. Both awards were for a packaging campaign developed by their creative team for one of their longtime client's new product line. Kevin Hong Releases Book, The Outlier Approach
Kevin Hong, co-founder of Dealflicks, recently released a book, The Outlier Approach: How to Triumph in Your Career as a Nonconformist. It is already an Amazon bestseller and the ebook can be purchased for just 99 cents. You can also order the paperback version here.
