YEC NYC Founders Dinner Recap

[sliderpro id="16"]

YEC Co-Founder and CEO Scott Gerber joined a small selection of YEC members last week in The Vault Room at NYY Steak in Manhattan. Offered as a stand-alone event to help founders elevate their businesses, invited members each brought something special -- a current business challenge as well as a unique piece of expertise or value they could provide to help another member -- to the table. Gerber hosted and facilitated the discussion among the 15 YEC members present.

The dinner was supported by Leonel Chaves, a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley, who also contributed to the discussion to help members and their fast-growing companies. Brockman's Gin provided specialty gin cocktails such as the Brockman's Gin Cup as well as a fun, interactive gin tasting to kick off the evening.

Members in attendance included Nina Ojeda, Founder at The Avenue West; Patrick Ambron, CEO at BrandYourself.com; Aaron Greenwald, President at BOLD Organics, LLC; Jesse Morris, President at Spartan SystemsJoanna Schneier, CEO at Cognotion; Tom Krieglstein, Founder at Swift Kick, and a few others.

While the meal included three courses, accompaniments and dessert along with cocktails, the real highlight of the evening was the intimate gathering and intense discussion. Members opened up about tough business challenges and shared invaluable advice with one another. Lead by Scott Gerber, the conversation ranged over a variety of topics.

From Nina Ojeda: "I loved that we each brought a problem to the table. Having 20 people at different stages from different businesses tackling one issue was incredible. I definitely found some resolution and made great new friends as well."

"Attending the YEC NYC Founders Dinner was like entrepreneur group therapy where we all shared challenges and solutions that only a founder would understand," said Tom Krieglstein.

"The level of commitment and heartfelt responses to our business challenges really shows how the YEC format can improve the lives of its members," said Jesse Morris after the event.
