On Wednesday, January 7th, YEC members from across the country and curated guests escaped the chaos of CES in Las Vegas — the world’s largest annual trade show that brought out more than 160,000 visitors this year — to forge friendships 55 stories above The Strip at our YEC x CES cocktail party.
Hosted by YEC member Lisa Song Sutton, the event took place in world-renowned entrepreneur Gavin Maloof’s $1.25 million property, overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. Sutton & Chase and T-Mobile, YEC’s telecom concierge partner, sponsored the event.
“YEC at CES raised the bar for young entrepreneurs to network during tech’s biggest week of the year,” said Lisa Song Sutton.
Guests – including YEC members Derrick Fung, CEO and founder of Tunezy; Ian Bell, CEO and cofounder of Digital Trends; Robb Crocker, CEO and founder of Funnelbox; Ryan O’Connell of YEC partner Influence & Co.; Travis Blane, VP of Sales and cofounder of Forte; and our friends at UP Global — mingled while enjoying light bites provided by Sin City Street Team and Chef Kas Catering.
“The YEC CES Cocktail event exceeded my expectations,” said O’Connell. “Having VIP access to a private penthouse overlooking the strip to have meaningful conversations with other founders and executives was perfect for a crowded show that brings over 150,000 people to one city.”
Guests noshed on boozy Sin City Cupcakes (one of Song Sutton’s three companies), as well as pesto meatballs with balsamic reduction and shaved Parmesan; ginger sweet potato puree wonton cups with black and white sesame, cilantro and pineapple sriracha glaze; and fresh herb tomato tomatillo bruschetta with asiago and basil oil on black and red pepper crostini.
Event staffing was provided by YEC member Vinny Antonio’s Victory Marketing Agency, and photography was done by David Alan.
