The Gents Place founder Ben Davis officially announced the formation of The Gents Place Franchising, LLC and the launch of its national franchise program. Additionally, Emmitt Smith, an established entrepreneur, Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee and long-time member of The Gents Place, has joined the team as a co-owner.

On Tuesday, June 21st, YEC'er Ash Kumra is helping to produce an event focused on female entrepreneurship and funding at WeWork Santa Monica. Free tickets are still available.

Congratulations to Andela founder Jeremy Johnson, a CommunityCo board member, YEC member and friend. This week, Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, raised a $24M Series B as the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative's first-ever lead investment.Andela, a two-year-old New York startup, seeks to find and cultivate Africa's most talented technological minds.
