Your Weekly YEC Social Roundup

Each week, we like to post what’s been going on with some of our members in the world of social media. Our recap will cover member news and highlights, external publications and hiring needs.

Member News & Highlights

Congratulations to YEC'er David Henzel, co-founder of MaxCDN, for being acquired by StackPath, along with Fireblade, Cloak and Staminus. The company’s vision is to create a platform to offer users a variety of different security services, but it says that it will start first with secure content delivery (using tech from MaxCDN, presumably). MaxCDN alone brings 16,000 customers to the new startup.

This month, YEC'er Jennifer Benz is celebrating her company's 10th anniversary! Congratulations! We're thrilled to be able to recognize all of your success and hard work.

Congratulations Jason Crain on Partpic's feature in the August issue of Entrepreneur Magazine!

Member Publications

In his latest article, "30 Article Promotion Strategies That Got Me 97 Backlinks & 589 Shares in Under 30 Days," YEC'er Andrew Wise shares his own proven strategies on how to promote a personal or company blog every time you publish a new post. One tip: "Create an infographic to your content. People are far more likely to look at a visually stimulating infographic than they are to sit down and read a 10 page blog post."

In Krishna Gupta's recent interview with VentureFizz, "Romulus Capital's Krishna Gupta: Early-Stage Investor & Entrepreneurial Partner," the YEC member opens up about his past internships, his success as an investor and his love for entrepreneurship.

Earlier this week, YEC'er Peter Daisyme published an article about fellow member Richard Lorenzen, CEO of Fifth Avenue Brands titled, "24 Year Old Entrepreneur on Building a Multi-million Dollar Company." Peter sat down with Richard to see what lessons and insights he could share for other young people who aspire to start their own company.

Linking the World CEO Mina Chang recently published an article in Huffington Post discussing that "While there are unique challenges for all NGOs, each player involved in stability operations plays an integral part in the fight against terrorism, and we must work together to secure fragile communities from the rising threats posed by conflict and disaster."
